WAITING...

There's nothing worse than waiting for something, an answer, that will probably never come. If everyone was considerate of each other, we wouldn't make others wait or let things go unsaid... right?

Annoyed...

Note to self: must stop expecting ppl to behave like I want them to...

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

I would like to wish everyone who reads my blog, a wonderful Christmas wherever you find yourselves in the world. Although I'm far from all of you, my friends, know that I love and miss you and that I carry you all in my heart.

I think I'm going through quite an interesting time of self-reflection and discovery. Last night, or rather this morning when I arrived at my apartment after a Christmas Eve dinner at Karlita's house, the Pope's mass was being televised... Oddly enough, and I laugh about it today, I started to cry over everything the Pope was saying... Oh, and, mind you, I'm not religious.

I think this year it really hit me what Christmas is all about. I'm beginning to understand a lot of things about the world too... And it just sounded so beautiful when this man (the Pope) on TV started saying his Christmas message in 68 different languages. It sounded so beautiful that I burst into tears. Ahhh all of us are the same and yet so different... and although sometimes a language can present itself as a barrier, it is also part of the beauty of a culture.

I'm so proud to be an Australian, born in El Salvador, adopted by Puerto Rico!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Tonight, I'm listening to my favourite radio station in Perth. Ohhh how I miss home...

Give it a click!!!

2007 IS UPON US...

And I'm so excited!!! Today has been a rather interesting day. My first day off from the office and I've stayed home all day on the Internet and watching movies. I've been in a rather pensive mood about what decisions I need to make for next year, and the people who I want around me then too.

So now I'm sitting next to our Christmas tree, listening to Damien Marley and typing away, and feeling a little emotional. I'm emotional about things to come, excited about who's going to take over when my term is done here in Puerto Rico; excited I have a beautiful family; excited I live with the best 4 housemates in the world (from 4 different countries); and I have a feeling that tells me that 2007 will be a year of success for my friends, my family and myself.

Although I don't know what I will be doing after July 2007, I'm absolutely certain I will be doing something I love. The current year has taught me more about myself than any previous years. I've learned that yes, we all have issues, I have them, but its about learning to accept them and continuing on, along this learning experience we call life. We can't let those issues bog us down. Just embrace them and move on!

I have learned that no matter for how long people stay in your life, you always carry them in your heart. I have learned that I can't protect everyone, people need to make mistakes, to hurt, for them to have a full life experience. I have learned that everyone is good, they just have bad experiences.

Ahhh well... There will be more postings like this one I'm sure. Now I'd like to post my 2007 horoscope so I can look back on it from time to time:

----------------------------------

OVERVIEW: Maintaining positive friendships and close personal relationships is a high priority for practical Virgo this year. Your family and home life will be a source of great happiness and pleasure as you spend time building good relationships. You share your opinions openly and honestly. Surrounded by inspiring artistic people, you will have a desire to express your own creativity. Variety and versatility give you the urge to take up many different skills.

As you move into the brand new year, you'll keenly observe the world around you and uniquely express it through creative avenues. You are a wonderful artist and could easily make art into a career in the coming months. Everything your awareness touches becomes a field for your intellectual attainment. Your desire to express your artistry could expand into exhibiting your work at public art events. Culture and the theater will give you hours of relaxation. Great transformations will happen when you have creative opportunities. Whether you are in a leadership position or amongst influential friends, your awareness of connectivity impacts those in your circles and opens them to sharing common goals and objectives.

You are a healer at heart, and would do well in the healthcare field, perhaps teaching people to maintain a positive self-image through artistic creativity. Later in the year, make sure to take more time for walking in nature, gardening, relaxing in health spas -- places where you can freely connect with your deepest self. Your spontaneous and impulsive nature makes for a very physically active year. You love sports, dancing and other physical activities, which will keep you feeling young and vibrant.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks to everyone who made this one of, if not THE best year of my life!

JESUS CHRIST IS BACK... OR IS HE?

Okay... so this gentleman you see on my right, a puertorican named Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda, claims to be Jesus, or the second coming of. I sat on Sunday and watched an interview where he was making the most hilarious claims about having had Jesus possessing his body 30 years ago, and now he's the real deal.

Miranda has the right idea, you know: If you're going to adopt a persona, why adopt the identity of some follower when you can be the head-honcho, the big Kahuna: God Himself? The only problem is, Jesus Miranda's theology doesn't match up with the REAL Jesus.

The Miami Herald article goes on to say:

"Followers say he's Jesus. Detractors call him a cult leader. And José Luis De Jesús Miranda -- a paunchy, middle-aged man from Puerto Rico who favors $10,000 Rolexes and claims millions of disciples worldwide -- believes many people would like to see him dead." And what's more, "He receives an annual salary of $98,000...." And, check it out: he even has body guards these days!

Ohh and a Jet for 8 people which his puertorican followers have bought for him!!!

Absolutely ridiculous.

And the funniest thing is, that he actually has people who believe all his rubbish. I mean, I'm not very religious, but I found it quite offensive how he felt he has the right to make fun of and belittle people's beliefs. Ahh well anyway, I found it super funny! What a fool.

INDIAN MEN DON'T MEASURE UP

I got this story sent to me today by a very good friend of mine. I know we shouldn't laugh at other people's misfortunes, and yes, something needs to be done to cater for this problem. For the source of this story, see Yahoo News

-------------------------------------
Speak up, sir...You need the extra small condoms?

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Condoms designed to meet international size specifications are too big for many Indian men as their penises fall short of what manufacturers had anticipated, an Indian study has found.

The Indian Council of Medical Research, a leading state-run center, said its initial findings from a two-year study showed 60 percent of men in the financial capital Mumbai had penises about 2.4 cm (one inch) shorter than those condoms catered for.

For a further 30 percent, the difference was at least 5 cm (two inches). A poor fit meant the prophylactics often didn't do the job they were bought for, and led to some tearing or slipping off during use.

"One of the reasons for a failure of up to 20 percent (of condoms) is the association of the size of the condom to the erect penis," the council's Dr. Chander Puri told Reuters, adding another reason was couples often put them on in a hurry.

Puri said many men in India, which has the world's highest HIV positive caseload, were too shy to ask for condoms.

"We need more vending machines for condoms of different sizes so people can pick a condom with confidence that is suited to their needs," he said.

The Times of India reported the ICMR survey had studied 1,400 men between 18-50 years of age in cities like Mumbai and New Delhi as well as in rural areas in a report. It entitled its story "Indian men don't measure up."

THE BEST THINGS IN MY LIFE RIGHT NOW

- Natalia and her friendship. She's like my guardian angel, always there to celebrate my successes and to cry with me whenever things aren't going that well. Love you Nati.

- Evon. Although you are far away, it is reassuring to talk to you and know you are always there for me. Love you Wongy.

- My family. I never realised how beautiful my family is until I went home a month ago. I don't think I could have asked for better parents or better siblings. I miss them but their support is one I live with every day no matter how random my choices might be.

- Janeth and her mexicanness. You are a breath of fresh air girl, and a great and understanding roomate, plus you're mexican. Thanks for the night talks and the advise.

- Claudia and Magalie, my flatmates from Chile and Martinique respectively. You girls are my family here in Puerto Rico. Thanks for the great laughs.

- Maricel, Karlita and Cristina. You are some of my best friends. You've taught me that it feels good to hug others, and the importance to tell your friends how much you love them. I am having the best time of my life right now and it is all thanks to you.

- Heineken Caribbean. Best traineeships we have signed and the best part is the fact that they've given us a car. Ohh its so good to be mobile.

- Puerto Rico. I love this place like it was my own country. I am honored to have been adopted as a Puerto Rican by my friends. Girls: cherish and love this island, it is an amazing place.

- Sex & The City. Best series ever and one that has provided a lot of laughs and some tears to many of us.

- Roberto. It is good to have caught up again and to be in touch with you. Had some great times with you in the past and I wish you all the best in your future.

- Chai Tea. God bless whoever decided to mix all those spices together and come up with such a special blend of tea. Love it!

- Australia. My country, my heart .
