A BIT OF RANDOM FUNNY NEWS

When you thought people were over believing in spooks and silly things, here comes this woman. I thought it was a great story released on the eve of what well be a very popular remake. Enjoy!

Pregnant woman due on 6.6.6

A pregnant woman who is due to give birth on June 6 wants to be induced as she is terrified of giving brith to the devil.

Melissa Parker says she has been having nightmares ever since she was told that her due date is 06/06/06 or 666.

According to The Sun she said: "When I got my due date I thought 'Oh God, I'm giving birth to Damien from the Omen'.

"Every day I wake up feeling something bad will happen. I'm terrified the birth will go wrong or the child will have evil in him or her. Even worse my beautiful baby could be the devil himself - the anti-Christ.

"I like The Omen and saw an advert for the remake. Now I'm even more worried."

Melissa, who lives with road worker partner Lee in Caversham, Berks, has been told by Royal Berkshire Hospital that her due date cannot be changed.

A hospital spokesman said: "Due dates are not 100 per cent certain. There is little we can do to change them without a Caesarean or inducing the child, which we try to avoid. We must let nature take its course. The baby will be born when ready, no matter what day it is."

666 is mentioned in the Bible and many cultures believe it represents the date the anti-christ will appear on Earth.

THE REAL DA VINCI CODE

After a really badly written page-turner comes what I have heard to be a terrible film. I haven't been to see it yet, but I probably will just to say I was there and not have others tell me how good or bad they thought the film was.

Anyway, for those of you who are fanatical about the book, I recommend you check out The Real Da Vinci Code, a video I found superb, about the novel of the same name. This should answer some questions.

Anyway, I had a fabulous weekend, caught up with a friend I hadn't seen in months, went to a friend's birthday, got friendly with a guy. I felt like I was 18 again!

Anyway, ciao, BE GOOD!

Your Inner European is Spanish!

Energetic and lively.

You bring the party with you!

UNITED 93

I went to the cinema with the girls last night and we watched United 93. The movie is
story of the takeoff and hijacking of United Airlines Flight 93 by terrorists. The synopsis on Yahoo Movies says:

" A drama that tells the story of the passengers and crew, their families on the ground and the flight controllers who watched in dawning horror as United Airlines Flight 93 became the fourth hijacked plane on the day of the worst terrorist attacks on American soil: September 11, 2001. 'United 93' recreates the doomed trip in actual time, from takeoff to hijacking to the realization by those onboard that their plane was part of a coordinated attack unfolding on the ground beneath them. The film attempts to understand the abject fear and courageous decisions of those who--over the course of just 90 minutes--transformed from a random assembly of disconnected strangers into bonded allies who confronted an unthinkable situation"

The film is unbelievable. I really didn't want to go see it but ended up going as it was the film everyone had decided upon. It was extremely difficult to watch, very, very stressful. I can't say I learned anything from it but it moved me. I can't really explain how, but I can explain the why.

It made me remember the night this happened (it happened during the evening in Australia) and I remember watching it on CNN and all the feelings this event stirred. Things have not been the same since this event for anybody in the world, what with all the security in all the airports, the "war on terrorism" and so on. Some people have chosen to view things from one side of the story, others have chosen to see the two sides and try to find the reasons why such things happen.

I won't try to assume or give you my opinions on the subject. I will just say, and this is
NOT on the subject of the war on terrorism, etc... It is amazing the fact that human beings are capable of many things... But it is EXTREMELY SAD that we can't live in harmony because of cultural differences (let's not even mention religion).

EXTREMELY SAD we try and figure each other out instead of accepting each other.

Anyway, I recomend this film highly.

MY MOST IMPORTANT VALUE

I got in touch with a friend I hadn't spoken to in years yesterday. We had a nice chat and it was great to know about his life and that he's doing really well. I wish all of my friends and people I've met are doing well, but if they need someone to chat to, you know I'm here for you.

I'm thinking a lot about what the basis for my life and my friendships is and I have to say that after much analysis, all answers point to TRUST. Trust is what drives me. I trust pretty much everyone as I believe that all human beings are innately good, and sometimes I'm hurt because of my firm belief that everyone's good, but I don't think that is going to keep me away from trusting people.

I was hurt by someone recently and that is how my whole issue of evaluating what weighs high in the scale of my life came about. I thought about why I ws hurt and it came to be because that person had totally abused my trust and I couldn't trust them anymore. I mean, the love is still there, I admire and love them, but there's no trust left.

Funny. It took me to arrive at my twenties to learn about what makes me tick. Nice thing I finally did, right?

Anyway, trust is my most important value. I need to be able to trust someone but I also need them to trust me. It's a two-way thing.

Luv ya

MOTHER'S DAY

These are my mother and my brother. It was mother's day yesterday so this is a tribute to her. To me, there's nothing more important than the relationship I have with my family. Although my relationship with each one of them is totally different and I could never do without any of them, my relationship with my mother is very special.

Yes, she nags some of the time... and sometimes I get frustrated with her expectations of me. When I talk to her though, I see why she does it, and I thank her for it.

God I miss her and I wish I could see her!!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MUM

I had a pretty relaxed weekend this weekend and went to a friend's house to celebrate mother's day with her mother. It was really nice and I got fed really well (not that I need to eat any more than I do).

I picked up a book called Only Love is Real by Bryan Weiss. It is exactly what I need right now. It talks about soulmates and how there are people we've met in other lives that we know right now and that's why sometimes we click so well (friends, teachers, a partner, a parent). There are a few people I have felt this with in my life, and I wonder who they might have been or where we might have met. I don't think I believe in reincarnation, but it's a nice concept and I would like to believe it.

I also started to sponsor a World Vision child as of Friday. She's Haitian, is 8 years old and is a Hope Child which means she comes from a community that is suffering from HIV/AIDS. I wish I could do more than sponsor a child, that I had the means to help a whole community or country. For now though, although my contribution is small, I'll do the best I can to one day be able to contribute a lot more.

To learn more about how you can sponsor Hope Child and help save a generation from AIDS go to:

I haven't done my Tony Robbins since Thursday, so I have to set out a few days and sort of do everything I haven't done in those two days. God I've started to slack off and I hate it.

Anyway, I'm signing off. Thanks Laura for your emails, they always put a smile on my face. I miss you heaps!!!

This is my PersonalDNA Map.

It's a good test to take so go ahead. I'm surprised at some of my results though, must be because I'm not feeling super confident at the moment.

ONE OF THOSE WEEKS

Well, this hasn't been such a great week for me emotionally, but I'm getting there (I think). I didn't do my Tony Robbins last night as I went out to a pub with friends and didn't end up drinking at all but got home very late. Tonight I have to do yesterday's and today's CD.

I have had two very nice and long chats with two people that have said things that have impacted on me. Evon, my best friend, called me a couple of days ago just to chat but pretty much ended up telling me off for my complacency. I totally understand her and she has given me another perspective of looking at things. Last night I had a nice and long talk about AIESEC with Janeth the trainee (who is also MC support) and she gave me new ideas and renewed energy for the work I do.

Although things here are quite hectic and I worry a lot about our future, we have the support of AIESEC in Mexico and our GN Director Oriana both being absolutely awesome. I can't wait for my chat with Oriana on tuesday.

Janeth asked me last night what kept me in AIESEC Puerto Rico and I quickly answered it was the challenge. I could never see myself working anywhere else. I loved my time in AIESEC Australia and that was my biggest learning experience ever so I recommend you Aussies apply to the MC, it is a rollercoaster! And yes, that experience prepared me for now, although the realities of Australia and Puerto Rico are far appart.

I won't leave this place without having made a difference.

THE COOLEST PEOPLE IN PUERTO RICO

These ladies are my best friends here in Puerto Rico, so yeah, they are (from left to right): Angeli, Michelle, Sandra, Natalia, Janeth and Cristina. Life wouldn't be the same here without them.

Angeli is doing a degree in Coparative Literature
Michelle has just been accepted at the University of Massachusetts on a scholarship to do a Master in Archaeology
Sandra, you guys know her, from the UK
Natalia, you also know her, she's the sweetest!
Janeth is a trainee from Mexico and is super cool
Cristina is doing a Communications and Pre-Law degree

Everyone's a bit tanned in this photo, and a bit hungover too as it was taken the night after Cinco de Mayo.

SANDRA'S 21ST BIRTHDAY

A week ago we had the super special event of Sandra's 21st birthday. I'd love to decorate my blog with some of the photos we took, but they're too, shall we say "nasty" to show, but here is one that pretty much captures how much fun was had during the evening.

My god, we laughed so much!! We started off at El Refugio and ended up at my house, the very few survivors (because everyone else went home): Carla, Sandra, Cristina, Andres, Alejandro and myself. I won't go into details, but there was a lot of alcohol and a lot of reggeton.

Happy birthday Sandra!!! Luv ya heaps!

NEW COACHING PROGRAM

Last night I decided to, once again, do the Personal Power II series by Anthony Robbins. I've attempted following every instructions on these CDs twice before, but I would always get sidetracked and distracted and would never follow through with the program. I decided to bring it with me to Puerto Rico because I always imagined I'd need it someday and, well, I'm at a stage of my life where I need it.

Yes, I have become complacent, pretty happy with what I have (which is always good) but many goals that used to excite me don't so much anymore. After talking with Nic the other day about our Learning Plans and how we will exchange each other's LPs to keep each other accountable, I went back and reviewed my LP discovering that I'm off track from many of the things that kept me going. So, this led me to decide to do the Tony Robbins program again and, this time, really get involved in it.

One thing though, I don't know WTF I've done with the workbook. I looked for it everywhere at home last night and couldn't find it. I thought it'd be in the office but it's nowhere to be found.

But anyway, today's exercise was to think of 2 things I needed to do which I had procrastinated on, that would make a real difference in my life, so here they are:

1. Talk to my friend Mariant about eating healthy
2. To not have any negative thoughts about situations or people.

I'll keep you posted on what happens tomorrow.

MC WEEKEND

Had a fabulous weekend with the girls in Camuy and guess what?? it didn't rain! It was a beautiful sunny weekend where we got to be ourselves and relax. All talk about work was banned and whoever mentioned it had to take a shot of rum. I only mentioned AIESEC once on the weekend and I think that has to be a record for me.

Except for Natalia's ipod going missing, the weekend was fantastic. I hadn't laughed like I did in a long while. There was plenty to drink too, for just us four girls. The first night we played dress ups and tried to look as nasty as possible. We also swam a lot on the beach, drunk and ate in the pool, played lots of games and talked about everything.

Funny how after a few bottles of rum people get all deep and conversations start to get emotional. Ahh it's wonderful to be a girl. Here are some photos of the weekend.

The resort was totally empty on our first night, the second night we shared the pool with the people from Objetivo Fama, a Latin American version of the Idol shows. It was great, great, great!!!!

Nice weekend to culminate a very challenging year!!!!

A WEEK OF RAIN AND THUNDER

Why, o why doesn't it stop rainning? God there's nothing worse than rain when you don't have a car and when you have a beach weekend planned.

Yes, this week the girls and I have an MC Weekend to re-connect and have a bit of time to ourselves as friends before we end our MC Year. We're really looking forward to this but it looks like it's going to be rainning into next week. Ohh it's all horrible and rainny, boohooo... But yeah, we booked this lovely little villa in a place called Camuy, check it out http://www.villasseaside.com/home.htm We're going regardless, it's just a shame we won't be able to enjoy the beach.

Oh and last Thursday as I was out and about with Natalia and my friend Michelle, I fell over and hurt my foot. I spent the next day at hospital having it checked and luckly it isn't broken. One of the tendons seems to be sprained but I'm much better now. Ahhh the things we do...

So yeah, that's me for now. Signing out. Hope you're all well.

PS I will end up watching Seinfeld Brett.
