RANDOM POSTING

Nothing has really happened since last week and I think I've gone a bit overboard with my postings but anyway, whatever. I've been quite frustrated actually because I'm unable to load some photos and I wanted to write a posting about one of them but it can't be done.

I haven't been feeling too well lately. I haven't been sleeping or eating right. I don't know what's wrong with me but I'm very anxious. I think it must be a mixture of things: my mobile died; there's going to be an island-wide strike as of next week (no petrol, atms not working, no gov employees getting paid, the majority of things closed) and this looks like it's going to last until June 30th (we find out tomorrow); next week is our biggest SN recruitment drive ever, we have it all prepared but, if there's a strike, Uni will also close until the date I mentioned... Ahhh so frustrating. I feel so helpless and there's nothing I can do to not have to go through this situation.

So I've been watching a lot of TV. Finished watching Dawson's Creek (which I used to hate when it came out) and I found it quite poignant, best ending ever. Now I need another series to keep me entertained and I'm debating whether I'll rent out Seinfeld or some of the Beverly Hills 90210 seasons. We shall see..

By the way, I went to see Scary Movie 4... What a piece of crap! Do not go see it!!! I recommend you go see Take the Lead, that one's going to keep you entertained and it's quite nice.

Anyway, going now, going to go see how much a new mobile phone is going to cost me (btw my number is probably going to change)...

WICKED EASTER!

Okay, so this year's Easter has been one of the best despite getting sunburnt and my innability to wear any jeans due to my third degree burns. It started with a weekend at Alfonso's Dorado Beach house where we swam in the ocean and pool and had a few swimming races (I was undefeated!).

Easter here lasts from Palm Sunday to Easter Monday so you have a whole week's holiday and we used it to the max. On the Wednesday and Sunday though we had two Mega planning days for AIESEC's next 6 months. We acomplished a lot and are very proud of our results.

We also had a parade of 80's swimsuits (see photo) and had a great laugh to see these things people were proud to wear in the eighties.

When we finished our planning on Sunday we had a party at Natalia's and were entertained by the wicked reggeton sounds of Cristina, who, we think, should release an album soon. I'll see if I can upload photos of Sunday and Cristina in costume. I'll go for now, but keep an eye on this space.

CARLA'S 22nd AT EL REFUGIO

Had a wonderful time at Carla's 22nd. Lots of very unexpected things happened on the night, but everyone present had a wonderful time.

For a surprise party, we did pretty well as we had a lot of problems with organising it and had to patch it up at the last minute. What problems? do you ask. Well to begin with, we hadn't booked a site so myself, and Carla's best friend Liza, had to hurry and ask these people at this pub to see if they'd allow us to fix up the place with balloons and let us bring a plena (Puerto Rican music) band with us during the night.

We also made this really ferral T-shirt for her, but on our first attempt the print got glued onto a towel and we had to hurry and go buy another one, etc... all this time waiting for Carla to show up. So to fix it up we made her come to the AIESEC office and left clues for her here and all around the University for her to get to where we were and to utilize that time for us to fix everything.

In the end though, the party was a total success and I was very proud of what Natalia, Sandra and I acomplished (so modest! but yeah, it was awesome!)

Happy birthday Carla, we love you and hope you have every success this year!!

I MISS AUSTRALIA

I did this quiz today and I found the answer to be absolutely hilarious. Should I be heading home soon? Maybe I miss home too much, I don't know. Maybe it even means I don't realise how Aussie I am. Ahhh I'm so glad to be an Australian. It has to be the best place on earth!

Miss you Australia!

Which country should you REALLY be living in?

Australia

G'day Mate! You're a yokker. A true Aussie. You love the beach and barbies, as well as sport and sex. Life couldn't get any simpler, and thats the way it should be. C'mon Aussie, C'mon!
